[AIVC, Air infiltration and ventilation glossary, 1992]:a Tracer gas method for measuring ventilation rates, whereby an automated system injects tracer gas at a rate required to maintain the concentration of tracer gas within a room or zone at a fixed, pre-determined level. The ventilation rate is proportional to the rate at which the tracer gas must be injected.
